I’m beyond annoyed- even dismayed- that I have to post an article like this under Trending News. As Jack Hassard points out in the article “Let’s Privatize American Education Even If There Is Little to No Research to Support School Choice“, efforts to privatize education are hardly new. The only pushback I would offer here is the focus on the political right when it comes to education. The corporate Democrats have almost completely abandoned public education as a centerpiece of a strong democracy. No surprise I guess; they have also given up on the idea of liberal/progressive values and have paid the price in 2016.
